SCHAMED ALAMARS
The Schammered Alamaro is a type of lacing made with a cord that is looped to form an eyelet, through which a button is passed. Originally a frieze on military uniforms, the lamaro has decorated women's wardrobe outerwear since the 19th century and is now also applied to knitted shirts and cardigans. The frog fastening also characterises the duffle jacket, which in its most classic version features the typical horn-shaped buttons. For this reason, the term horn is also often used to refer to horn-shaped buttons.
