The 'Lineato' (or LIN) is the traditional unit of measurement for buttons, where 1 lin corresponds to 0.635 mm: for example, an 18L button measures approximately 11.43 mm, while a 32L button measures approximately 20 mm. These Mother-of-Pearl Buttons are ideal for embellishing accessories such as handbags. The 2-hole button, which is attached to one flap, works in conjunction with an opening, located on the other flap, which is called an eyelet, buttonhole or frog. By threading the button through the eyelet, the two flaps remain firmly connected.
