CUPRO FABRICS
As we have already said, cupro is obtained from cotton linter, but then relies on a chemical production process. First of all, cellulose fibers are places in an ammonia and copper solution, which actually dissolves cellulose. The resulting paste hardens and then result in textile fibers. The main characteristics of cupro fabric are its softness and a high absorption capacity. During the last years, this fabric is much more used in dressmaking to realize elegant and luxurious garments. HOW CUPRO IS PRODUCED
Cupro is obtain from cotton linter, which is basically a pulp of cellulose that covers cotton seeds. This fabric originated in 1908 in Germany, when a German company realized the first fabric obtained from cotton wastes. This material was initially called Bemberg artificial silk. Its appearance was very similar to silk, because of its smooth and silky surface. From cotton linters during the production process cellulose is extracted and eliminated through a proper ammoniac solution. The resulting paste is them filtered to eliminate all the dirt and extruded through proper chains. The resulting thread is then processed and dried.

How to wash cupro fabric?
We recommend to hand wash this material. If you want to wash it in the machine, you'll have to have particular care. On the other hand, cupro can be dry-cleaned without problems. You can bleach and iron it at not too high temperatures.
